After a busy day working in the city, I was looking for a healthy lunch when I came across The Poke Man. “Poke” is diced raw fish in Hawaiian and is often served on top on rice and other accompaniments in a bowl. It’s been a popular trend the last couple of years, and I really like it.
You can line up an order your Poke and they make it to order in front of you – just like at a sandwich bar.
I ordered tuna, carrot, edamame, corn, seaweed salad, corn, dried wakame & wonton crisps on brown rice. First off, the tuna was fresh and pink which is essential. The wonton crisps added a great crunchy texture to the bowl as well. Finally, some of the carrot peices were spiral shaped! So pretty.
The service was fast and friendly, even during the lunch rush. If you’re looking for a healthy and tasty lunch, I’d recommend visiting The Poke Man!
