Evolve Fair Food Store is a great place for a relaxed meal in the Belgrave area. They have a large selection of vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options in their food and drink menu. Despite the long name, they are not really a store. They are actually a cafe with some takeaway sandwiches, slices and cakes.

We started with some drinks. Their fruit juices are so refreshing, much nice than bottled juices. Our smoothie was quite nice as well, and presented in a nice mason jar.

For lunch we had the beef burger. Overall it was a yummy burger, particularly their tomato relish. It was one of the best burger relishes I’ve had in Melbourne! The fries were nice as well, I wish there were a couple more. I asked for the egg and cheese on the side so my guest could enjoy them. (I’m dairy & egg free).

The zoodles (Zucchini noodles) were really delicious. Nice and soft zoodles complemented with carrot, onion and a side salad. It’s a good serving size too. This is one of their best dishes on the menu.

The staff at Evolve are pretty chilled & give you a welcoming vibe.
