After a big shop for some new clothes at Spencer Outlet Centre, I had was feeling quite peckish. So we visited Hangar, a cafe next to Harris Scarfe. They serve a range of burgers, pasta and salads alongside coffee, milkshakes and smoothies.

The first thing about the restaurant that leaps out at you is the amazing natural light coming through the side. You can view all the pedestrians and traffic walk by, its really fantastic.

We tried some items from the $10 express lunch menu. The steak was a nice thin and lean cut, with crispy fries and a garden salad on the side. Really impressive for the price point.

The calamari & quinoa salad was also a hit, especially since we ordered extra calamari! This is a good dish to share if you’re not feeling super hungry.

With good food, fast service and a great view, I recommend checking out Hangar Cafe when you’re next in the city.
