Scoopy is a trendy milkbar in Melbourne CBD that specialises in serving Bingsu. Bingsu is a Korean dessert that consists of finely shaved ice topped with fruits, pearls, cookies, chocolate and/or nuts. Similar to a sundae.

The venue is pretty popular, when we arrived there was already a queue outside! We ordered two bingsu to share.

Dusky Dream: Mörk Chocolate bingsu with chocolate soil, banana, strawberry, popping pearls and chocolate pretzel sticks. Topped with house-made whipped cream and toasted almonds. The kids loved this, super-rich and indulgent!

Lychee Bloom: Lychee flavoured bingsu made with oat milk with grass jelly, pineapple jelly, lychee popping pearls, lychee pieces and toasted almonds. This vegan bingsu was so delicious. The fruit was really fresh, perfect toppings and the ice was so fine. Generous portion size too.

They offer children’s high chairs, but no baby change area. The wait staff were really knowledgeable and helpful for first-timers. Scoopy is one of Melbourne’s best dessert experiences. Check them out next time you’re in the city.
