Food truck markets are a great way to try something new, and Hank Marvin St Kilda is no exception. This time I tried the Poke Time truck. They have a range of Hawaiian inspired Poke Bowls. Poke bowls are such a hot trend in Melbourne right now. If you haven’t had one, they basically consist of a protein (tuna, salmon, chicken) on rice with a whole lot of yummy toppings. Think of it as a deconstructed sushi roll, if you will!
I chose the Aloha Poke bowl. It had tuna, tomato, radish, cucumber, seaweed and onion, with a spicy chilli seasoning. The toppings were all super fresh, you could tell that they made them on the day. Nice soft rice on the bottom too. I felt really healthy eating this. The service was fast and friendly too, perfect for a festival vibe. If you see the Poke Time truck, I recommend giving it a go.
